In Lucknow, Priyanka Maurya, a member of the State Women's Commission, reported receiving hoax calls from unidentified individuals who requested her personal information. She lodged a complaint with the Krishnanagar police station, alleging that the callers pretended to be associates of the chief minister's principal secretary and Unnao District Magistrate. Priyanka suspected that political opponents were attempting to defame her using deceptive tactics. An investigation has been initiated based on her complaint. The first call occurred on September 9 at her residence in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, where the caller claimed to be the DM of Unnao's PA. A similar call was received on September 30, with the caller identifying themselves as the chief minister's principal secretary's PA and requesting personal information for an upcoming responsibility. Priyanka took the matter seriously and reported it to the police. DCP of South Zone, Keshav Kumar, confirmed the filing of an FIR and the ongoing investigation.
